WOW, Becky! Really. You are so, so funny. I LOVED listening to you on Worth Repeating. I’d no idea your novel had any connection with reality. I was sorry to hear about your crappy fiancé—but happy that your experience with pick-pockets resulted in a fabulous novel.
I also really enjoyed reading Allison Kirkland’s piece in Brevity. She spoke volumes in very few words—and it was all relatable. Recently, I’ve been feeling like my current memoir has been a profound learning experience for me, and that the possibility of publication is almost a side issue. I thought Allison captured this experience and understanding brilliantly.
Hi Nancy, thanks for listening...and reading! I feel like you (and Melissa W above) are two of very few folks who can compare the true and fictional versions of this story! And I agree with you about Allison Kirkland's piece: she packs much goodness into a relatively short read .
Oh my Becky! I had no idea that there were so many similarities between Becky's real life and Niki's fictional one. I just LOVED your reading on Worth Repeating. It is hilarious, harsh and honest. A truly important story about love, and life lessons. "If you wanna be safe, just remember..." Eek. Congrats on all of it and I'm glad you gave being a fiancé another chance.

It's such an honor to be featured in Truly Important, Becky! Thanks for the opportunity.
I loved reading what you had to say about telling your true story out loud. Can't wait to listen to it!
Love love love!
Thanks for reading, Mia!
